Mount Rogers

For our first nice day at Rogers Pass, we decided to get up to the namesake Mount Rogers, the highest peak in this zone (at least north of the pass).

Mount Macdonald

Finally getting into the alpine and seeing Mount Rogers and Swiss Peaks in the distance

So much white

The Asulkan valley on the other side of the pass

The cool looking shelves on Mount Cheops

Getting higher...

Topping out on Mount Rogers

Clouds rolling in now

Ah man couldn’t get the best views off the summit. We would learn a lot more about the finnicky weather of Interior BC during our trip.

Notes

  • This was probably ~11 miles and ~6800 feet of vertical gain in a little over 8 hours.
